Give your time, skills and ideas to help Swinnow Community Centre stay welcoming, useful and full of life.
Swinnow Community Centre is powered by volunteers. Every person who welcomes a visitor, makes a drink, helps at an activity, shares a skill or tackles a practical job helps keep the centre open and thriving.
You do not need to have lots of spare time or previous experience. Tell us what you enjoy, what you can offer and when you are available, and we will look for a role that feels right.

Some people help regularly; others join us for one-off events or occasional projects. Both matter.
Current opportunities
Our needs change through the year, but volunteering may include:
- welcoming visitors and helping people find their way;
- supporting the café, kitchen or community food work;
- helping with children’s, youth or family activities;
- setting up, serving or clearing away at events;
- practical jobs, gardening and looking after the building;
- administration, fundraising, publicity or social media.
Roles involving children or adults at risk may require references, training and an appropriate DBS check. We will explain what is needed for the role.
